Which documents do I as a Danish citizen need to get married in Ukraine?

Which documents are required to get married in Ukraine varies from place to place; it is therefore necessary to contact the local рацс in the city or district where the Ukrainian spouse is registered in order to get a complete list of required documents.

• A marriage conducted abroad is generally recognized in Denmark if the following conditions are met:
  The ceremony is performed by an authority or person in the country where the marriage took place, which was authorized to perform the ceremony.
• The ceremony did not contradict basic Danish public policy. This means that especially the following two conditions must be met: 1) Both parties must have been present at the ceremony, and 2) both parties must have been at least 15 years old at the time of marriage.
• The ceremony should be legal in the country where it was made.

How do I register my marriage in Denmark, which was conducted in Ukraine?

If you want your marriage registered in Denmark, which was conducted in Ukraine, you should contact the National Registration Office in your municipality. You must bring the original marriage document. In addition, the municipality must have the following information:
