There are close political contacts between Denmark and Ukraine. Denmark's Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod was in Ukraine in February and Ukraine's Foreign Minister Kuleba was due to visit Denmark in early November. Due to the Corona pandemic, the physical visit was changed to a virtual meeting, which took place yesterday, November 10th.

After the meeting, the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent out a tweet with the following content:

Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod had a good conversation with his Ukrainian colleague Dmytro Kuleba.

Denmark and Ukraine are close partners. The Foreign Minister reiterated the Danish commitment to support Ukrainian reforms, including anti-corruption, as well as unwavering Danish support for Ukraine's territorial integrity.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a press release with the following content:

The ministers discussed i.e. trade and investment between Ukraine and Denmark, as well as the recently ratified government agreement that Denmark can provide interest-free loans for sustainable environmental investments through DANIDA's financing instrument for infrastructure investments (DSIF).

Foreign Minister Kuleba also thanked for the Danish donation of 50 medical ventilators to Ukraine for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

The press release is today reproduced in many Ukrainian media.
