Denmark donates personal protective equipment worth a total of 100.000 DKK to Georgia

28.07.2020  14:02

With more than 1.000 confirmed COVID-19 cases, Georgia has requested international support through the Union Civil Protection Mechanism.

Denmark has responded to Georgia’s request by purchasing and donating personal protective equipment worth a total of 100.000 DKK. The Danish Emergency Management Agency already has a representative in Georgia, who is working on a project which is aiming at developing Georgia’s civilian crisis management capabilities. It has therefore been possible to purchase the personal protective equipment locally in Georgia and then donate the equipment to our counterpart in Georgia, The Emergency Management Service of Ministry of International Affairs in Georgia.

The donation of the equipment happened on Friday, 24th of July 2020.
