Today, the second meeting of the Danish Executive Network 2020-21 took place online. This time, the guest of honour was UkraineInvest, represented by CEO, Sergiu Tsivkach, and Head of Legal Affairs, Yevhenii Shakotko. The Ambassador was the moderator of the meeting and had the pleasure of welcoming more than 20 company representatives from Danish companies operating in Ukraine.

UkraineInvest is a governmental institution, responsible for attraction and support of foreign investments into Ukraine. They are committed to providing investors with “one-stop support” consisting of reliable, current information and advice on doing business in Ukraine.

Mr. Tsivkach delivered a speech focusing on the Ukrainian-Danish investment relations. Among other important issues, he highlighted that Ukraine and Denmark are strategic partners, who have successfully collaborated for a number of years, that Denmark is a key country for UkraineInvest, and that Denmark ranks 20 in terms of FDI investments in Ukraine.

Furthermore, he presented some of the key focuses of UkraineInvest, i.e. that UkraineInvest has a special focus on supporting SME sector, in relation to the land reform UkraineInvest works to simplify procedures of buying land in Ukraine, and they work closely with the regions in Ukraine and see this as a key to a better investing environment in Ukraine.

Following Mr. Tsivkach’s speech, Head of Legal Affairs at Ukraine Invest, Mr. Shakotko, took the floor and told the audience about how UkraineInvest can help the Danish companies in relation to legal trouble shooting assistance.

The meeting was concluded by a Q&A-session in which the company representatives were welcomed to take the floor. This session concentrated on the land reforms, logistics and infrastructure, and labour migration.

The Ambassador closed the meeting on a very positive note and announced that the guest of honour for the coming DEN meeting will be Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade, Mr. Taras Kachka.
