DENMARK SUPPORTS UKRAINIAN RESEARCH ON SANCTIONS AGAINST RUSSIA

The Danish government will support the Ukrainian research institute Kyiv School of Economics  in establishing a research centre that will contribute with knowledge and proposals for new sanctions against Russia as well as analysis of sanction circumvention.

The support will be financed from the Danish research reserve and amounts to DKK 17.9 million in 2026 and 2027. In addition, the project will receive annual funding of DKK 4.5 million from the Danish Ukraine Transition Programme.
In 2025, a sanctions hub will also be established, supported with DKK 2 million from the Ukraine Transition Programme and DKK 5.2 million from the Peace and Stabilisation Fund, financed through the Ministry of Defence (DKK 4.7 million) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DKK 500,000).
