Danish Executive Network Meeting with the Head of the Customs Service
Today the Danish Executive Network met the Head of the Customs Service of Ukraine, Mr. Pavlo Riabikin.
Ambassador Ole Egberg Mikkelsen underlined that a well-functioning customs service plays an important role for foreign trade which consequently affects the economic progress and prosperity of Ukraine. He also commended the steps that have already been taken in the reform process and the ambitious plan of action that was initiated under Mr. Riabikin’s leadership.
Mr. Riabikin described how the customs service is working on improving the Ukrainian legislation for the benefit of businesses, training of staff for better service performances, including digitalization. Mr. Riabikin also expressed a wish for deeper cooperation with the EU e.g. exchange of customs information between the EU and Ukraine.
The meeting gave a unique opportunity to familiarize with the reform of the state customs service of Ukraine, as well as to ask questions and resolve trade barriers for the members of Danish Executive Network.
The Danish Executive Network was established in 2014 and over the years, it has developed into a strong club of approximately 30 leading Danish companies in Ukraine, spearheading numerous successful business events and continuous dialogue with Danish and Ukrainian government officials.
