Danish Minister of Defence Trine Bramsen concluded a successful official visit to Ukraine
Minister Trine Bramsen held a meeting with her Ukrainian counterpart, Defence Minister, Oleksii Reznikov.
The parties discussed the importance of preserving the territorial integrity of Ukraine as well as securing peace and stability in the region. Minister Bramsen reiterated Danish support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the ongoing defence sector reform that would bring Ukraine closer to NATO standards.
Another meeting was held with Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration, Olha Stefanishyna. The discussion focused on the security situation, Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration and Ukrainian-Danish infrastructure projects.
During the visit, Minister Bramsen together with Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Yurii Vaskov signed Memorandum of Understanding which would help to develop and enhance Ukraine maritime capabilities.
Together with her delegation, Minister Bramsen laid flowers at the Memorial Wall to honour the fallen Heavenly Hundred and brave Ukrainian defenders.
This visit underlines Denmark’s longstanding and unwavering support to Ukrainian sovereignty in the face of Russian aggression.
