Denmark Significantly Increases Its Support for Ukraine
The Danish government and a broad majority of the Parliament agreed to give the Ukraine Fund an extra boost of DKK 2.3 billion (appr. EUR 310 million) in 2023 and DKK 23.5 billion (appr. EUR 3,15 billion) in 2025-2027.
"We do not know how long the war in Ukraine will continue, but we do know that donations are crucial for Ukraine to continue the fight against Russia. Throughout the war, Denmark has been a faithful supporter of Ukraine, and by strengthening our support, both in 2023 and in particular by allocating significant funds in 2025-2027, we are sending a clear message that Ukrainians can count on Danish support in the long term", says Minister of Defence Troels Lund Poulsen.
