Denmark allocates a substantial aid package to the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, Denmark has provided unprecedented support to strengthen Ukrainian defence capabilities
This week, the Danish government announced the decision to substantially increase the level of defence-oriented financial aid within the Ukraine Fund that was established in March.
The total amount of defence support for UA is now 4,36 billion Euro (32,6 billion DKK). Of these, 1,35 billion Euro (10,7 billion DKK) have already been spent/assigned in 2022 and 2023. The rest will be spent throughout 2023-2028 with 1 billion Euro (7,5 billion DKK) for the rest of 2023, 1,4 billion Euro (10,4 billion DKK) in 2024 and an annual 130 million Euro (1,0 billion DKK) during the period 2025-2028.

- Harpoon coastal anti-ship missile systems
- 19 x Caesar artillery systems
- 80 x Leopard 1A5 tanks
- 14 x Leopard 2A4 tanks
- 54 x M113 armoured personnel carriers
- Anti-aircraft missiles, bridge layers, explosive ordnance disposal equipment, surveillance drones, mobile repair systems, machine guns, antiarmour mines – and much more
- 155 mm artillery ammunition
- Training on F-16 fighter aircraft and basic soldier training in Great Britain
