DENMARK SUPPORTS UKRAINE - VIDEO REEL
The video reel published at President Zelensky official facebook page on March 17th, highlights Denmark's overall support to Ukraine provided since the start of the full-scale invasion.
The video reel highlights the facts and figures characterizing Danish support to Ukraine.
"Europe is able to be the force that withstands chaos. Each of the security agreements is the proof. I thank Denmark for solidarity.
On February 23rd, Ukraine concluded a security agreement with Denmark.
“We are the first Nordic country to conclude security agreement with Ukraine for a 10 years term”, says Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.
In 2024, Ukraine will receive 1,8 Euros worth of aid from Denmark. Both countries will focus on anti-air defence, maritime security, UAVs and air force. Denmark will continue to work within the F16 coalition. Denmark will grant: jet fighters, ammunition, training devices, will conduct trainings and help with maintenance for the planes. Denmark is ready to support Ukraine as long as it takes to restore its territorial integrity.
President Zelensky: “These are guarantees of power that are working already now and will remain available for Ukraine in the time that precedes Ukraine’s NATO ascension. This powerful partnership will facilitate reforms and strengthening of Ukraine’s defence potential".
Mette Frederiksen: “These security commitments are an absolute necessity. Both Europe and other international partners must assume these obligations and comply with their promises.“
Ukraine thanks Denmark for the unwavering support and leadership.
In the two years of the full-scale invasion, Denmark’s support reached 4,5 billion in military aid and 411 million civilian aid.
By 2028, Danish government will have allocated to Ukraine military support over 8 billion Euros worth.
