FROM POLICY TO WATER INFRASTRUCTURE: DENMARK'S CONTRIBUTIONS AT THE 10TH LVIV ECOFORUM

Denmark was proud to participate in the 10th Lviv Ecoforum “Building a Water Future Together – Uniting the Industry for Change” on 25–26 September 2025, showcasing a strong Danish presence in Ukraine’s water sector.

Denmark’s contribution was visible in-person both in Lviv Ecoforum panels and through the first-ever Danish Water Days and the Danish Stand at the exhibition area. Together, these highlighted Denmark’s expertise in regulation, technical solutions, EU harmonization, and private sector solutions – all in support of Ukraine’s efforts to provide sustainable water services for its citizens.

Drawing on experience in areas such as energy efficiency, reducing non-revenue water, smart metering, benchmarking, and tariff setting, Denmark continues to share valuable know-how with Ukraine.

We extend our thanks to the Association of Vodokanals in Ukraine with support from UNICEF for organizing Lviv Ecoforum.

Key Danish contributions included:

🔹 High-level speaker from the Ministry of Environment and Gender Equality,
🔹 Speakers from the Danish Environmental Protection Agency also reflecting the Strategic Sector Cooperation on Water and Environment between Denmark and Ukraine, and from the Danish Water and Wastewater Association (DANVA).
🔹 Speakers from Royal Danish Embassy in Ukraine: Impact Fund Denmark and Counsellor for Water and Environment)
🔹 Participation of Trade Council

🔹 The first Danish Water Days, organised by Danish Water Forum and the Association of Vodokanals in Ukraine under the MoU on the Roadmap to Sustainable Water Infrastructure signed in 2024.

Speakers represented leading Danish organizations and companies including: Danish Water Forum, AVK, Grundfos, Kamstrup, Danish Water Innovation, Aarhus Vand, NIRAS, cBrain, DHI, TEM Company, I-GIS, as well as the Danish Environmental Protection Agency.

Danish solutions were further showcased at the Danish Stand, with support from Erhvervshus Midtjylland.
