REDISCOVERY
September 16th
Documentary, 2019
47 children are given free rein on an abandoned construction site in Copenhagen, where nature has long ago taken over. Here, they will go to school for ten weeks and discover what nature has to teach them. Nature’s voice is a continuous narrator: "What does it mean to learn something? How can you measure what you sensed in your belly as you sat in the top of my tallest chestnut tree? Where does it settle in you?
FROM THE WILD SEA
September 23rd
Documentary, 2021
As winter draws near, a European network of marine animal rescue volunteers work tirelessly to rescue coastal wildlife from life-threatening elements: Oil. Plastic. Treacherous conditions. But the worst is ahead. Climate change fuels violent weather across the seas. Simultaneously, the wild animals are struggling against their human surroundings. The film is a poetic documentary on the complex collision between human and nature - seen from both the human and animal perspective.
