SUPER FINAL OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP COURSE"IMPACTPRENEURSHIP 2.0" IN KYIV

The Embassy of Denmark was proud to support the culmination of the Social Entrepreneurship Course "Impactpreneurship 2.0" with the Super Final, hosted on the innovative FUNdraiser platform. This remarkable event marked the conclusion of a three-month journey where veterans, internally displaced persons, young entrepreneurs, and forward-thinking Ukrainians have transformed their ideas into impactful social businesses.

Launched by the International Agency of Change, and supported by UNDP in Ukraine and the European Union, the platform has empowered active citizens across Ukraine since its inception in 2021. With a mission to foster social change, the programme has grown into a significant force for good, engaging participants from Mykolaiv, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi, Chernihiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Luhansk, and Donetsk (government-controlled areas). The programme brought together over 780 participants who formed 109 teams, focusing on creating sustainable business solutions that address pressing social issues. These participants received comprehensive training in key areas such as business process systematization, market analysis, business modelling, PR, and securing grant funding.

The top 15 teams have now advanced to the Super Final, where they will present their projects to a distinguished jury of investors, business leaders, and industry experts. Winners will not only receive grant funding but also enjoy three months of mentorship to ensure the successful launch and growth of their ventures.

This event represents more than just a competition; it is a testament to the resilience and creativity of Ukraine's entrepreneurs. We invite all to join and witness how these aspiring business leaders are turning their dreams for a better future into reality. Be part of this inspiring occasion and experience the energy and optimism driving the next wave of Ukrainian social innovation.

In a special highlight, Jens Alsbirk, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Denmark, delivered a keynote speech at the event, emphasizing Denmark’s commitment to supporting Ukraine's vibrant social entrepreneurship ecosystem. “Denmark shows solidarity with Ukraine through multifaceted and long-term support. Since the full-scale invasion, civilian Danish support to Ukraine amounts to approx. EUR 636 million. One of the effective community-level tools targeted to improving life of vulnerable population – is social entrepreneurship. This projects creates conditions for inspiring young leaders to gain knowledge and skills to create and manage social enterprises, to find out hidden talents and boost the innovation culture and job creation in communities”.
