CARLSBERG UKRAINE CELEBRATED THE 20 YEARS SINCE THE OPENING OF THE KYIV BREWERY

Last week, the company’s management, staff and honourable guests convened at the Kyiv Brewery to celebrate the two decades of dedicated work, congratulate the employees who have been working at the brewery since 2004, award the most well-performing staff members, and dug in a time capsule to be unearthed in 30 years’ time.

In his speech, Ambassador Ole Egberg Mikkelsen saluted all Carlsberg staff who has been working tirelessly during the full-scale Russian aggression under difficult conditions, both those who kept the operations going and those who have been mobilized and are now at the frontlines. The Ambassador also saluted Carlsberg’s management as they are setting an example for other foreign investors, including potential Danish investors. The Ambassador assured that the Embassy will continue to grant the company all possible support in these endeavours.

“Carlsberg is an icon in Denmark’s industrial development. From the very beginning Carlsberg has been known for its corporate social responsibility, long before that notion was invented. You have always been caring for your employees and for the communities and the countries where you are operating. What you are doing in Ukraine is yet another example of this proud legacy. By continuing your operations and by making new investments - as you did last year with your record investment in the new production line - you are demonstrating in deeds that a global player and industry leader like the Carlsberg Group, has faith in Ukraine and is ready to invest in Ukraine at a time, when the fight against Russian aggression is still ongoing”.
