Danish Minister Attended EU Foreign Affairs Meeting in Lviv

On Europe Day, May 9th, Lviv hosted a historic visit as Foreign Ministers and diplomats from 35 countries, along with officials from the EU, came to Ukraine to show their political support for the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.
Among the key figures at the event was Danish Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs, Morten Bødskov. During the meeting, Morten Bødskov signed an agreement to transfer €1 billion in profits from frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine's defence industry, together with the High Representative Kaja Kallas, the French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot and Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Edmondo Cirielli. The agreement will be implemented by Denmark through “the Danish Model”, a mechanism to fund the procurement of weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine through contracts with Ukrainian manufacturers.

This event in Lviv marks an important step toward justice and further reinforces the European Union’s unwavering support for Ukraine
