Danish Prime Minister and Top Government Leadership in Mykolaiv
The visit took place on January 30th, 2023.
Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, Vice Prime Minister/Minister for Defence Jakob Ellemann-Jensen and Minister for Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen visited Mykolaiv, thus representing the top leadership of the Danish coalition government. They came to reaffirm Denmark’s strong support to Ukraine in the face of the Russian aggression, and to give another impetus to the Denmark-Mykolaiv partnership.
President Zelensky received the delegation. Together they visited several locations in Mykolaiv, including a clean-water station for local residents implemented by Danish Refugee Council. The parties also discussed a range of topics pertaining to the Danish-Ukrainian cooperation in various military and civilian areas.
