DENMARK HELPS RESTORE CLEAN WATER IN BUCHA
Danish funding of nearly DKK 26 million from EIFO (Denmark’s Export and Investment Fund) and the Grundfos Foundation makes it possible to rebuild Bucha’s water supply.
Now Denmark and the Grundfos Foundation are providing crucial support to Bucha, which will receive nearly DKK 26 million to rebuild the region’s water supply.
Morten Bødskov, Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs, says:
“Russia’s brutal and despicable attack on Bucha has had enormous consequences for the city’s residents. I have visited the city and seen the destruction with my own eyes. That is why we must help rebuild their homes. With this agreement we ensure clean drinking water and show very clearly that Denmark supports Ukraine – no matter what. Thanks to the Grundfos Foundation for their courage and humanity. We will not be cowed by brutality.”
Kim Nøhr Skibsted, Director of the Grundfos Foundation, says:
“The residents of Bucha have been deprived of one of the most fundamental prerequisites for human existence, namely access to clean water. A reliable water infrastructure is just as important as hospitals and schools, and that is why we are pleased and proud to contribute to reconstruction in Ukraine.”
Peter Boeskov, Commercial Director of EIFO, says:
“The reconstruction of Ukraine is one of EIFO’s central tasks in these years, and with this financing we once again confirm our strong commitment. We now have 21 projects in Ukraine, and I am proud that together with the Grundfos Foundation we can make a decisive contribution to securing Bucha’s future water supply.”
