DENMARK INCREASES MILITARY SUPPORT TO UKRAINE BY 4.4 BILLION DKK (590 MILLION EURO) IN 2024

A broad majority of the parties in the Folketing (Danish Parliament) agreed to add more funds to the Ukraine Fund already this year. This means that a total of 64.8 billion DKK has been set aside for military support under the Ukraine Fund in 2023-28.

These funds will cover training efforts, the purchase of equipment and weapons produced by Danish and foreign defence industries with a view to donation to Ukraine, as well as financial donations and cooperation with other countries on support to Ukraine. It was also agreed to support direct purchases from the Ukrainian defence industry.
