INFORMAL EU MINISTERIAL MEETING IN LVIV
European Affairs Minister Marie Bjerre chaired the meeting as Denmark is currently holding the EU presidency.
Ukraine’s path toward EU membership was at the top of the agenda.
“It is a great pleasure for me, as Minister for European Affairs, that we conclude the Danish EU Presidency by holding a ministerial meeting in Ukraine. We have discussed how we can help Ukraine move closer to EU membership. We have also been here to show our political support for Ukraine’s reform efforts. Even though the country is at war and faces challenges with corruption, Ukraine has managed to deliver progress. Now it is crucial that the country stays the course, adopts reforms, and continues the fight against corruption,” says Minister for European Affairs Marie Bjerre.
