MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS LARS LØKKE RASMUSSEN VISITS UKRAINE

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark Lars Løkke Rasmussen together with Nordic and Baltic foreign minister colleagues visited Odesa on April 28th to meet Dmytro Kuleba
The partners had in-depth talks about continued support for Ukraine, including in the military field and regarding Ukraine’s European future. The visit further included opening of the Odesa Recovery Forum as well as a visit to the port of Odesa to discuss the grain deal and maritime security.

"It is a remarkable experience to stand here in Odesa together with my Nordic and Baltic colleagues. Not that long ago, Denmark took the lead in supporting the Baltic countries' fight for freedom. A fight they won, meaning that today we can stand side by side in an equal and free partnership between the Nordic and Baltic countries. Which is why it is so important for us to maintain our support for Ukraine and to stand side by side with the Ukrainian people at every opportunity. For history has shown us that we can make a difference - and that freedom can be won," said Minister Rasmussen.

This visit was the Danish Foreign Minister’s second trip to Ukraine this year after visiting Mykolaiv in January together with the Prime Minister and Defence Minister of Denmark.
