As a result, Mykolaiv has become the 50th city globally to join the "Cities for Better Health" initiative. This program unites the efforts of local authorities and businesses to prevent chronic diseases, including diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular illnesses.

In his speech, Deputy Head of Mission Jens Martin Alsbirk said that the Embassy is always proud to collaborate with brave and responsible Danish businesses operating in Ukraine. He also highlighted the support Novo Nordisk has provided to Ukraine’s healthcare system, especially since the start of the full-scale invasion: “I hope that the new programme will pave the way for even more Danish know-how to be shared with Ukraine in the area of healthcare.”
