On May 16th Denmark Adopts a New Foreign and Security Policy Strategy
In the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Europe finds itself in a new geopolitical reality that calls for a new foreign and security policy strategy.
In order to be able to handle both classic and hybrid threats, Danish and European defence and security must be strengthened, and Europe must assume greater responsibility for its own security.
Denmark will contribute actively to increased defence cooperation in the EU and contribute to NATO's deterrence and defence, especially in our neighbouring area.
Denmark will engage actively in helping new potential member states prepare for membership.
