The Embassy Resumes its Operation in Kyiv

The Embassy resumed its operation in Kyiv on May 2nd, 2022, with limited staff.
 
Re-opening was celebrated in presence of Denmark’s Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod who personally raised the Danish flag.
 
Minister Kofod then attended Irpin to witness the devastation caused by the Russia’s brutal military invasion.  He also met with his Ukrainian counterpart, Minister Kuleba, and with President Zelensky.
 
At the press conference, Minister Kofod stated that Denmark continues to stand by Ukraine. “We have already provided more than EUR 200 million in aid to Ukraine, including many weapons. And we wish to continue our support to Ukraine in the fight against Russia”.
